Our in-office treatments in Durham, take about an hour and provide immediate improvements to your teeth coloring. We usually recommend continuing your whitening treatments at home to sustain your brighter and whiter smile.
At-Home Teeth Whitening Treatments
The most consistently effective means of whitening your teeth is to use customized bleach trays. At Keyser Dentistry in Durham, North Carolina, we take impressions of your teeth to make your trays and provide you with a bleaching agent. We recommend that you bleach for approximately an hour at a time until you reach your desired level of whiteness. Once that has been achieved, you may use the trays to ‘touch-up’ as needed. The color change should last three to seven years. If you drink copious amounts of coffee, tea, sodas, red wine, or are a smoker, the teeth may turn darker again. If this happens, you can repeat the bleaching process again.
